Ye Olde About Me Page -

Who is Cristy Wright?

All True. (Thanks ex-foster hound Travis)

I'm also a writer, a business owner, performer/speaker/actor, editor and a former counselor. I enjoy power tools, music (long live rock n roll), social activism, worn-in jeans, vodka, summer, and my family and friends.

I'm one of those people that have myriad experience and an extensive skill set (not to mention the ability to research and learn whatever is necessary), but seem to be completely unemployable because HR departments don't know what to do with me. It'd be great to join to an organization that would appreciate my creative nature and need to be challenged. In the meantime, I'm self-employed, freelancing and/or contracting.

I also have a online educational and advocacy resource called Living Donor 101. You won't find the real skinny living kidney donation anywhere else.

My Blog: Living Donors Are People Too

This behemoth launched in mid-2002 as part of Score! Music Magazine's brand development. At the time, it was entitled "What's With All the Feather Boas?", a name with no significance other than it popped out of my overworked brain one afternoon. With some careful digging, you could know me better than my own father does (mostly because he doesn't read my blog). What started out as a superfluous minutiae has evolved into mostly serious posts on issues, current events and published studies affecting living donors. Occasionally, a bit of greyhound, stress or vodka-induced insanity does still rear its proverbial head.

Because the blog existed long before this site did, it has its own little home in cyberspace. Click below to peruse. Just don't forget your "Back" button to return here...

(By the way, that beautiful hound on your lower left is the late great Folly McGhee, who succumbed to bone cancer in January 08).
